Kulchaman

PERFORMER

I’m 22 years old, and while I currently reside in Holland, pursuing a degree in applied psychology – I was born and raised on the Caribbean island of Aruba. I started performing at a very young age back home, both in church and at cultural events. Being involved in music this early on, I quickly developed a passion for entertaining and performing for big crowds. Starting off as a gospel singer/performer, I was able to gain experience during my teen years performing with a live band. After our gospel band broke up, I started creating music focusing more on spreading positive messages and creating awareness, such as creating the Anti-bullying jingle for the National Anti-Bullying conference. I’ve loved soca , dancehall and reggae music all my life, so naturally most of my songs have always been heavily influenced by both genres. After finishing high school, I moved to Holland to further my education. During my first year here I officially released my first songs called “Bam Bam” and “It’s too cold”

This changed when she lived with her grandma in Jamaica, Saffire would sing to her every morning, her dream was to see Saffire become a singer, so when she died, Saffire felt she owed it to her to continue, and it became her dream. Saffire has participated in open mic UK and UK unsigned and placed as a semi-finalist. In the future, Saffire would like to become an artist that doesn’t have to sexualise herself to get somewhere, but instead be so talented people respect me and become inspired and encouraged by my music.
